Frequently asked questions

Answers about FeedbackMount's audiences, anonymity, AI, goals, Progress Checks, demo languages and operating options.

What is FeedbackMount?

FeedbackMount is a development-focused 360 feedback platform. It connects perspectives from people who work together with practical goals and short follow-up Progress Checks.

Who is it for?

Organisations of any size, primarily HR, People Operations and L&D teams, with development programme providers as a secondary audience. Employees, managers and colleagues contribute to the programme in different ways.

Do small organisations get the same reporting detail?

Reporting detail depends on enough feedback to protect anonymity. Small rater groups may be combined or withheld, so smaller organisations can see fewer separate group breakdowns.

Is it a compensation or formal performance-rating system?

FeedbackMount's purpose is development: understanding perspectives, choosing goals and revisiting behaviours. It is not a system of record for compensation, payroll, promotion or formal performance ratings.

Do we need CoachMount?

No. FeedbackMount has its own goals, Progress Checks and comparisons. An optional connection to CoachMount, part of the same product family, is available for organisations that also use its coaching services.

Do we need AI?

No. Core cycles, quantitative reporting, goals and Progress Checks work without AI. Optional comments may be withheld if they cannot be safely sanitised. AI assistance is optional.

Is all feedback anonymous?

No. Anonymous rater groups are protected by reporting rules, while direct-manager feedback is attributable by design. Participants should be told which rules apply before they contribute. Separately authorised investigation access is distinct from ordinary report access.

What if too few people respond?

Small anonymous groups are combined with a broader group or withheld. A report may be held while participation is addressed. Normal report access does not include an override that exposes anonymous responses.

What does the organisation attention heatmap show?

It shows where to offer support on any topic your surveys cover: low scores, departments below the rest of the organisation, falling scores over time, manager/team perspective gaps and behaviours colleagues have not observed. It shows groups only, with no individual drill-down, manager scorecard, ranking or prediction.

How large must a heatmap group be?

Typically about 10 or more people receiving feedback per department, with additional checks for raters, answers and safe comparisons. Having ten employees on an organisation chart is not enough by itself. Smaller groups are hidden, and larger groups may still lack enough safe feedback to appear.

Can customers or partners contribute feedback?

Yes. Include external raters through controlled invitations and a privacy notice. Ask about them during a demo.

Can participants speak their comments?

Voice-to-text is available. The rater reviews and edits the transcript before submitting. Source audio is not retained in durable product storage or backups, and typed input remains an alternative.

How do Progress Checks work?

A few months after the report, the same colleagues answer a short survey on the skills the person chose to develop, to see whether they notice a change.

Can we see whether people are improving?

Yes. Progress Checks show whether colleagues report a change on the chosen skills. They describe change; they don't prove what caused it or calculate a financial return.

Which languages are demos and enquiries available in?

English, French, Spanish, German and Japanese.

Can we host it ourselves?

Yes. Customer-managed deployment is available with a supported customer-operated sign-in provider and the required operating setup.

Can we use our own AI provider?

Yes. Use your own supported AI provider.

What can we explore in a demo?

Explore the complete workflow using fictional people and feedback: surveys, reports, the organisation attention heatmap, AI assistance, goals and Progress Checks. Discuss connections and deployment options for your organisation.

How is it priced?

Contact us to discuss pricing for your programme and operating requirements. Managed-AI usage is charged separately.
